The band has given me permission to release a few tracks, some of which have never been heard before!
These include a few tracks which were considered for the forthcoming CD but which were not considered suitable or of a high enough recording quality, a couple of radio interviews and maybe, later, a few rough and ready live recordings from the late 70s! :-)
Keep checking back as I hope to add more very soon, but the first three mp3s are:
Interview 1981.
Track #1.
Track #2.
Please right click and ‘Save Target As’.
The interview features Phil Kimberely and Mike Darby on BRMB.
Track #1 Is a previously unreleased track from the 1981 lineup with Terry, Phil, Mike Darby and Peter Green.
The track is called ‘Trouble’ and was co-written by Mike and Terry. It has a great guitar riff and some really meaty double bass drum work, but as the lyrics deal with cold war angst, the band felt it was now too dated to include on the album. Still a really stonking track, though!
Track #2 is a recently rediscovered song from the live set, ‘Bulldogs’. A Terry Dark composition from a similar vein to Catcher In The Rye.
It is a sort of semi autobiographical song about a rock group and their audience which never made it to vinyl and at over 7 minutes (and nearly 5 megabytes!) it was a bit too long for the live set, so was played only a few times - a real rarity!
As far as I know these two tracks have never been released before, anywhere :-)
We would be very grateful, if you download these tracks, if you would be so good as to visit the forum and share your thoughts, here.
